Maria Peña joined Sheehy, Lovelace & Mayfield as an Associate Attorney in 2019. She practices primarily in family law, guardianships, and child protective services litigation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Peña had careers in higher education administration, public health, and non-profit management.

Ms. Peña earned a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, a Masters of Public Administration at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, and her law degree from Baylor University. She has been a member of the Texas Bar College since becoming licensed.

She was born and raised in Waco, and is happy to be providing for the legal needs of her hometown community. Outside of the office, Ms. Peña enjoys cooking gourmet food, reading, and spending time with her family, including her Great Dane, Mina.
